Marian in a nutshell
I normally prefer to show one example to the student, thereafter, i give a student one or two exercises to work on their own and mark afterwards so that i can be confident that we are on the right track and to work a chapter or 2 in advance as well. Mathematical subjects are all about practice. Practice makes perfect.
