The key objective of all my lessons is to be able to cater it to each students needs. There are many components in English and these vary greatly from the GCSE to A-Levels to the IB. The most important thing is not to feed into the myth that one has to "just get it," when it comes to English. Like any other subject such as the sciences or maths there is a formula to English and my task is to help you recognise this formula and be able to manipulate it so as to get top grades.
Together we will mastermind a plan to tackle what you perceive as being your weaknesses and train you to think in your respective course's desired way.
I understand that students who tend to struggle with English (or any subject that is) usually don't see it as a priority. This is because many courses such as the IGCSE and the IB make it mandatory, regardless of whether it is relevant to a student's desired academic career. I completely understand and respect this which is why -unless the student specifically requests it- I try to maintain a subtle approach to tutoring with simple broken down tasks and little homework so as not to interfere with your other subjects. All these courses contain a hefty syllabus which can often seem like a lot to deal with, but little by little I am here to help you with one of the most stressful periods of your life.
