I've been a private tutor for eleven years. I strive to make students look at the subjects in a different way than they're used to, use examples from everyday life and pop culture to help them remember what they need and simplify the subjects in their mind, while also giving them a more familiar edge. I guide the students through their homework, but keep them independent enough so they can gain confidence in the subject and can eventually progress without the need of a helping hand. The lessons are always very interactive, and students are encouraged to be vocal about what works for them and what doesn't.
