I am a final-year PhD researcher and graduate teaching assistant at the University of Kent. I got my BA from the University of Oxford in Archaeology and Anthropology and my MA from the University of Kent. My research focuses on local and indigenous military cultures, specifically in Ukraine and Russia. I have done fieldwork in both Ukraine and Russia as well as Central Asia, Mongolia, China, the United States and Eastern Europe. I bring this experience into my teaching often as I take an "apprenticeship" approach to teaching anthropology, especially its fieldwork practices.

I run personalised, engaging and conversational classes tailored to student interests and learning objectives of all levels. I have wide experience in teaching general introductory and specialist subjects within social anthropology such as; introduction to social anthropology, research methods and practices, ethnicity and nationalism, studies of identity, conflict and regional studies. I have experience teaching at the university level, both in lectures and seminars, as well as in small group and individual settings. I can teach all ages and all levels of study.

Outside of the classroom, I am passionate about exploration and all things outdoors, and if I had to describe my personality in a sentence it would be "give me something to find that's worth looking for". I love a challenge and an adventure.
