4. Assessment-integrated: Regular assessments—including topic tests and verbal checks—help track progress and provide feedback.

While I teach all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), I focus on content, key point summary, quick questioning and exam techniques and exam questions. As a passionate Science teacher, I firmly believe that learning is most powerful when knowledge is revisited regularly and purposefully. That’s why I embed retrieval practice across my lessons—whether through low-stakes quizzes, mini-whiteboard recall tasks, or starter activities that prompt students to revisit prior learning. These techniques activate memory, strengthen neural pathways, and help shift new information into long-term retention. I also incorporate spaced repetition throughout the curriculum, ensuring topics aren’t taught and forgotten but looped back at intervals for deeper consolidation. This approach not only boosts academic performance but nurtures a confident and reflective learning mindset.

I also adapt content to suit diverse learners, including students with ESOL needs or different ability levels.

With over two decades of teaching and tutoring, I’ve taught in Comprehensive schools, academies, and grammar schools,

Private tutoring settings for GCSE and A-Level

Post-16 education including Applied Science and Biology at BTEC and A-Level

Form tutor roles, helping students with pastoral care and academic tracking

My background in Molecular Life Sciences and ELISA research (MSc) enriches my teaching with real-world relevance and scientific curiosity.
