Every lesson starts with a quick chat and catch up to build a rapport & trust followed by a recap of the last lesson.
My Lessons are tailored to individuall needs. I do an an initial assessment of areas of strengths and areas for development. I go through topics that require development and confidence building. Each topic is taken through the four assessment objectives of knowledge through to critical evaluation. This is then assessed via an exam question. With this question I also assess examination technique & how to improve it to help students gain thier desired grade. This is done in a supportive and friendly environment where mistakes are seen as an opportunity for learning and development. We learn and commit to long term memory from mistakes and it may seem paradoxical that I believe mistakes are not failures but offer the best potential for success. It is better to make a mistake and learn with me before the final exams. There are recurring and predicatble challenging topics in both subjects so I have developed materials and ways of teaching these over the years.
I have been teaching Business & Economics for over 30 years to students in the UK and internationally from various backgrounds and ability.
I have worked both in state and private sector schools and I am familar with the cultures of both sectors and what is expected in terms of development and attainment.

Its all about the student and how to help them achieve thier goals.
