I graduated from the University of Brighton in 2022 with Upper Second Class Honours (2:1, 68%) with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology. I am currently working as a student ambassador at the University of Brighton. I was the course rep for Psychology in my third year (level 6). I have studied modules on my degree that are convenient as a speciality in Clinical Psychology such as Critical Addiction Studies, Mood and Anxiety Disorders in Children, Developing a therapeutic Relationship, Developmental Psychology, the Psychology of Wellbeing, Psychology of the body and individual differences and Psychology and mental health disorders and distress. I am very aware and confident with the DSM-5 Diagnostic Manual and my greatest skill is diagnosing which I have shown to produce first-class in my clinical reports that involve diagnosis and intervention/ treatment plan. One of my strengths is reflective writing which I have produced work that was marked up to 82% (Very high first-class). I took part in the 2022 elections running as SU President, and even though I did not win, I was in the top three and have learned a lot of skills on my journey and gained valuable experience. I have also carried out a dissertation in my third year testing the effects of stress on memory which involved 60 face-to-face participants in the cognition lab that participated in a series of memory tests and psychophysiological testing i.e biopic and was analysed through quantitative SPSS analysis. Furthermore, I have 4+ years of retail experience that has provided me with the opportunity to gain so many transferrable skills such as team-working, confidence in speaking, organisation, analysis, customer care, management and leadership etc. Finally, I have also worked as a teacher's assistant in a language school for over a year with young children. I have excellent creative writing skills as I studied English A level. I am also very fluent in Arabic and can also read and write as I have secured an A* grade in Arabic A level.
