As a student teacher at Exeter Consortium Schools' Alliance, I am gaining valuable experience in teaching across KS1 and KS2, in various subjects, such as English, French, and Art. I am also developing my skills and knowledge in forest school, an innovative approach to outdoor learning that fosters creativity, confidence, and resilience in children.
In addition, I am working as a private English tutor, providing personalised and engaging lessons at GCSE level. I have worked online for other companies teaching English one-to-one and in groups, as a second language, to primary aged children.
I have a TEFL Level 5 Combined Diploma, which enables me to teach English as a second or foreign language effectively and professionally. I have also taught English in a TEFL environment abroad, which enhanced my intercultural and communication skills.
I am passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and I strive to create a positive and supportive environment for my students, where they can express themselves, explore their interests, and achieve their goals.
I have a BA degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of the West of England, which gives me a strong foundation in the structure, history, and diversity of the English language. I also have a keen interest in Art and French, which I enjoy sharing with my students and incorporating into my lessons. I am looking forward to becoming an ECT from June 2024 and continuing my professional development as a teacher.
Please do get in touch.
Thanks,
Maisie Wright.
