Maelou Pugh

Hi, I’m Maelou. I’m a self-taught ukulele player, songwriter, and vocalist that explores what can be achieved with the ukulele.

I enjoy a variety of different types of music, so I draw inspiration from different genres and enjoy implementing vocal melody, riffs, and light percussive techniques to give the ukulele more complex and fulfilling as a standalone instrument.

As a solo musician, this has allowed me to take on a role much bigger than playing four chord songs with the same strumming pattern. I use these skills to layer ideas and create my own personal soundscape. I’m here to help you do the same!

In my lessons, we will do more than learn chords; we’ll explore rhythm and expression. If you are looking to develop your own style, we can create a relaxed space where you can grow at your own pace.
