My Psychology tutoring sessions are aimed to be flexible and tailored to the individual student as I believe a 'one-size fits all' approach is not beneficial for everyone. To do this, our initial session will focus on getting to know you and your current study habits including topics you have already learned, what you are confident with and those topics you need more support with. From this, we can start to devise a personalised plan leading up to your exam dates.

Sessions can include a mixture of teaching and discussion, interactive quizzes, retrieval practice, exam questions, essay planning and revision activities. I'll introduce new content where needed but sessions aren't strictly listening to me talk for an hour! I aim to encourage you to ask questions, discuss ideas and apply what you have learnt throughout the session. This helps us to identify gaps in understanding and build confidence with the material.

Between sessions, I can provide short, manageable tasks or resources for you to complete. These are not intended to overwhelm you and will support your understanding and reinforce the work we've covered together.

The most important aspect of my sessions is that you as the learner, can tell me what approach works best for you. If you prefer visual resources, discussion, practice questions or a combination of different techniques, we can adapt accordingly. My aim is to support you with your learning and to achieve your desired grade in a way that makes sense to you.
