Hello! My name is Madeleine, I am a native speaker of English and I look forward to helping you with yours. I have experience teaching English to Spanish and Catalan natives. My lessons are entirely pressure-free. I know how scary it can be to speak a foreign language so I will do everything I can to put you at ease!

The content of a lesson with me depends on you! If you are struggling with a particular aspect of the grammar, I am happy to explain it to you. I have studied in-depth English linguistics so have a solid theoretica understanding of the language. If you have to write a letter or an essay in English, I can help you express yourself accurately and clearly. If you want to learn to speak fluently about a specific topic, I can design vocabulary tests and questions on the subject.

If you don't know where to start, that's okay too; I will plan lessons on topics such as food, family, holidays, etc., and we will discuss them in a relaxed way. I will also incorporate explanations of relevant parts of English grammar.

Please do not worry if you are nervous about your ability to understand a native speaker. Most of my experience has been teaching beginners, so I know how to communicate clearly and comprehensibly, using simple language. For speakers of Spanish and Catalan, I speak these languages fluently and am happy to use them if constant English gets overwhelming during lessons.
