Maddy Caine

I have tutored through school before, helping with GCSE and A-Level maths and sciences. I took Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Sports Science and an EPQ and received all A/A*’s. I have also had experience teaching younger kids! I love to teach all ages as I have great communication skills and have experience teaching in both a fun and affective way! I like to get to know my students first to learn about how they learn best and can adapt to their needs. I will also track their improvement to learn how best to teach my students!
For my lesson I believe a 1 to 2 hour session works best, starting the lesson reviewing past content or introducing ourselves if it is a first lesson. From then on I will use a range of demonstrations, practice questions and explanations to make sure a full understanding is achieved.
If first learning a topic I will run through more demonstrations of different difficulties, using videos or images of it compliments the topic. Once my student fully understands the information we can together start applying it to exam style questions and exercises to build the higher level of knowledge.
I also will always mark and extra work my students do for example past papers or questions for my students as well!
After studying these subjects I have a lot of recourses which I can provide for my student to complete within tutor time or outside if they wish!
