My name is Maddy, and I’m a native English speaker, but growing up I moved to Spain and had to learn Spanish, so I understand how difficult learning a new language can be! Now I’m studying a degree in English and Creative Writing and am excited to help others overcome the same challenges I did.
I have experience teaching children and adults of all different backgrounds, and from the neurodiverse community, including those with ADHD and other behavioural/learning difficulties, so everyone is welcome!
I understand everyone has different learning styles and speeds, so your lessons will be adapted to best suit you! I have particular experience working with children aged 3 — 11, and we can create a fun and engaging environment to help make learning English easier for this age.
Adults learning and teenagers are also welcome. Having completed English GCSE’s and A-Levels myself, I can provide support from homework and exam prep.
I aim to provide a structured learning plan with milestones to track your progress and gently progress you through the language. We can start at your level and go from there! The aim is ultimately to have fun and progress at your speed, to whatever level we can achieve.
We can use visual aids, pronunciation practice, games, mini tests, online and offline resources and more to facilitate your journey.
Lessons are typically an hour, but I am happy to organise two hour lessons or more with breaks— or shorter forty minute lessons for those who prefer.
