My lessons are structured, rigorous and personalised, with a strong focus on identifying each pupil’s individual needs and removing the barriers that may be limiting their progress. As a qualified secondary school English and German teacher, I take a diagnostic approach from the very first session: understanding what a student finds challenging, targeting those weaknesses directly, and building confidence in a clear, sustainable way.

I have extensive experience in preparing KS2 pupils for 11+ grammar and independent school entrance exams, using a proven teaching sequence tailored to GL, ISEB and school-specific papers. Lessons focus on advanced comprehension, high-level vocabulary, inference, grammar accuracy and high-quality creative writing, supported by model answers and explicit exam-technique guidance. My track record of helping students secure places in selective schools is grounded in this combination of high academic standards and personalised support.

Alongside my 11+ expertise, I am also a specialist in KS3 and GCSE English, offering structured, curriculum-led teaching that develops analytical writing, critical reading, essay technique and exam skills using real past papers and clear, examiner-style feedback.

As an MFL secondary teacher, I teach German across all key stages, helping learners build strong grammar foundations, fluency, confidence and exam-ready language skills.

Across all subjects and age groups, my priority is to create a learning experience that is calm, clear and effective — breaking down difficulties, building confidence step by step, and ensuring every student feels capable, prepared and proud of their progress.
