I am a first-year Mathematics student who has a plethora of experience with Mathematics and with teaching. In November 2025, I started volunteering with the educational charity Action Tutoring, since then I have tutored at a variety of primary school and secondary school students facing disadvantage. I also began tutoring at St Ursula’s Convent School in January 2026. My proficiency in Mathematics is demonstrated by my bronze certificate in the UKMT senior mathematical challenge as well as by the fact that I am currently doing a mathematics degree which is accredited by the Institute of Mathematics & Its Applications. I developed my Mathematics skills when completing my internship at Beazley where I shadowed actuaries developing my comprehension of the way mathematics is used in industry. In addition to my aptitude for mathematics, I also have significant amount of experience working with children, going all the way back to sixth form where I would read to a year 7s with low reading ages, an initiative that improved reading ages of the children I read to by up to 18 months. I also used to mentor a KS3 student who was experiencing difficulties at home. Throughout Year 12, I completed my bronze DofE award improving my skills in badminton and playing the piano which led to me becoming an overall calmer person. I am an incredibly patient person which is demonstrated by my significant amounts experience teaching and working with children. I will be tutoring online with each session being 1 hour each whilst also being packed full of useful information.
