My lessons are designed to help French students with their English. I like to start by getting to know my students in English (as much as possible) to get an idea of who they are and what their starting level is. I ask about their goals and why they feel they need my support, but also like to chat and find out about their likes and free-time activities. I can tailor my teaching to different levels, should the student need clarification on grammar or vocabulary, but am also happy to spend time speaking and practicing conversational English.
I have experience mentoring younger students, both in French and English, and am personally fascinated by the way languages work, so look to pass on my knowledge and passion to others.
I am studying French myself, and will be spending next year as an au pair in France, so my own level in the language is proficient - this means I am able to explain subjects and provide clarification in French if need be. However, as a student myself, I believe that the best way to improve in a foreign language is to spend as much time speaking and thinking in that language as possible, and therefore my lessons will be primarily in English.
