Education professional with a background in Primary School teaching- 10 plus years worth of experience working in Devon and Greater Manchester working across KS2 primarily- working as a classroom teacher, French specialist teacher, PPA teacher and Art specialist. I currently work as a Private Tutor tutoring learners of all ages nationally and internationally.
I have also supported groups of children and individuals with their 11+ examinations for entry to grammar school. Moreover, I have worked within high schools and online as an English teacher/tutor providing support to groups and individual pupils who are overcoming barriers.
I aim a Fine Art, French and English Language specialist having both tutored these subjects to both children and adults. I acknowledge different learning styles and ways of interpreting different ideas. I am to tailor make sessions to suit their abilities and interests. I have experience of working with learners with various needs, including where English is an additional language, dyslexic learners, candidates with dyscalculia and those who are on the Autistic Spectrum. I also provide Study Skills support to anyone who may require it alongside academic subjects.
I believe in a question based led approach to tutoring which sparks curiosity for the learner where they can take on an active role in their learning- promoting independence always .
I use some bespoke online software for lessons, where outcomes often out do those of being in a face to face setting as all resources are at my fingertips for support.
I am a firm believer that it doesn't matter how quickly or slowly a person makes progress as long as they are not encouraged to stop!
