Hi, I’m Luke Simmonds – a private tutor based in Sheffield City Centre, offering personalised English and Maths tuition for primary, secondary, GCSE students and adult learners. Whether you’re aiming for exam success, building core skills, or looking for support with learning difficulties, I’m here to help.

With previous experience as a teaching assistant at Rotherham College, I’ve worked with learners of all ages and abilities – including students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I understand that everyone learns differently, which is why my teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, clear communication, and building confidence step by step.

I offer a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and truly understanding the material – not just memorising it. My sessions are always tailored to the individual, whether you’re tackling GCSE revision, brushing up on basic maths, or improving your English for work or everyday life.

I offer both in-person lessons in Sheffield and online sessions for flexibility and convenience. My availability includes evenings and weekends, and I’m always happy to have a quick chat beforehand to understand your goals and how I can support you.
