My lessons are fully personalised, interactive and carefully structured to suit each student’s age, level and learning goals. I teach Mandarin to children and teenagers from different cultural backgrounds, focusing on building strong foundations in listening, speaking, reading and writing. For beginners, I start with pronunciation, tones, daily vocabulary and simple sentence patterns to help students speak naturally and confidently from the start. For more advanced learners, I focus on reading comprehension, writing structure, grammar accuracy and exam-focused skills.
I have experience tutoring students following IB, GCSE and A-Level systems, so I clearly understand exam requirements and assessment criteria. My lessons combine practical communication with targeted exam strategies, ensuring students not only improve their language ability but also achieve strong academic results. All lessons include clear explanations, guided practice, speaking interaction and personalised homework to reinforce learning.
With cross-cultural teaching experience in both China and the UK, I am skilled at adapting my teaching style to different learning habits. I create a supportive, encouraging and pressure-free learning environment, allowing students to feel comfortable making mistakes and gaining confidence step by step. I believe steady progress comes from consistency, motivation and the right learning method. My goal is to help every student enjoy learning Mandarin while achieving visible, long-term improvement.
