I studied both English literature and language at college and then moved onto doing primary education ages 5-11 at Leeds Trinity University. I have just finished my three year primary education doing placements in years 4,5 and 2 and a send school for 2 weeks. I have worked in holiday clubs as a coach and have worked coaching children’s football on the weekends. I’m a very passionate teacher and would tailor my children’s sessions to their needs. I have always loved English and loved the creativity that comes with it. I would start my lessons off with a test of what they know through questions or some key information from last lesson. Then I will focus on their needs for the week based on the child’s needs or based on areas of improvement I identify. I will then set questions or do fun activities to help test what they know. I will then do a recap asking how they felt about the lesson, what they struggled with, what worked well for them. My lessons would be filled with many different formats getting the child to write things down, using videos, playing songs. I would use different methods of answering. I also would have a section of questions I want answered which we can either work on together in the next session or I will create a fun PowerPoint where we explore their questions.
