Hi, I'm Lucy and I'm a Resident Doctor who graduated with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours - MBChB (Hons).
Strong academic performance throughout medical school, across written examinations, UKMLA, PSA and clinical OSCEs, allowing me to graduate in the top 10% of my cohort.
Experience:
-Extensive teaching experience, including GCSE science tutoring and working with students with special educational needs (SEN), developing adaptable and clear communication skills
- Significant experience in OSCE tutoring, creating and running my own circuits and mocks for junior medical students. I gave detailed feedback, encouraged self reflection and helped them perform better under exam conditions.
- Member of the Acute Care and Emergency Society, tutoring younger medical students in core clinical sciences and pathophysiology, helping support their understanding of complex medical concepts.
- Friendly and approachable, with a strong focus on building confidence, strengthening understanding and practicing as much as possible.
Teaching Style:
I run sessions in a structured and intentional way, so you can have an efficient study session, while still having space to relax in evening. Time off is equally as important as revising, so I try to encourage this!
We will identify your goals, build confidence in your strengths and identify areas for improvement. From there, we work strategically on these areas, so you feel relaxed and confident on the day.
One of my key strengths is helping students develop a clear, confident communication style for the OSCEs. This is built through simulated practice, reflection and a good understanding of assessment expectations.
Overview:
I have been tutoring medicine for a long time and the most important thing is feeling confident and relaxed on the day. The sessions are very laid-back and can be as focused or as slow-paced as you’d like.
