I love maths and studied at Cardiff University, followed by a PGCE at Cheltenham and Gloucester College. I taught in high school for 10 years and have been tutoring for a further 10 and have completed numerous courses in education and learning styles. I have taught students from 11 to adult. I love maths and studied at Cardiff University, followed by a PGCE at Cheltenham and Gloucester College. I taught in high school for 10 years and have been tutoring for a further 10 and have completed numerous courses in education and learning styles. I have taught students from 11 to adult. I have been an exam marker for both AQA and Pearson for over 10 years and mark the GCSE every year. This gives me valuable insight into the specifications and requirements of these exams.

I offer 1-1 sessions to KS3, GCSE and IGCSE students and Adults in their own homes or online. As a subject specialist I can cover all topics and levels needed for these exams. I have a wealth of experience teaching and tutoring. I am a very approachable person and pride myself on my communication skills.

Lucy has really helped my son, she is very reliable and is extremely flexible. If he has an exam coming up, she will go over any areas he is struggling with, which has made a huge difference to his confidence.

I thoroughly recommend Lucy as a tutor. Lucy has been tutoring my son once a week for his maths for the last 18 months. Lucy always explains the maths problems in such a way that my son understands the questions. All her lessons are very organised and Lucy is very patient with her teaching style to make sure maths queries are understood. Lucy has built my son’s confidence with his maths and he feels more prepared to deal with his upcoming GCSE’s. Lucy has always been punctual and reliable for all my son’s lessons. Lucy is a great math tutor who really helped me understand math better. She explains things in a clear and easy way, and she was always patient if I don’t get something right away. We worked on problems together step by step, and she always made sure I understood before moving on. The lessons were well-planned and not rushed.
