The first tuition session will be used as a baseline assessment to find out which areas of learning the child needs most support in.
Furthering on from that, each session will focus on a specific subject area with a starter and explanation activity, an independent activity completed by the child (support provided when required), followed by a plenary and assessment time to discover what the child has learnt and what to focus on in the next session.
After the completion of 3 sessions, each new session will begin with a recap of the learning which has taken place in the previous lesson to ensure that new skills and knowledge are embedded.
After the completion of each subject area, a summary assessment will be completed by the child.

Equally, I have tutored children in the past where the parent/guardian has asked me to focus on current subject areas which are being studied in school and would like me to ensure that the child has a full understanding of the learning area.
