Ideally, our lessons will begin with the student having sent to me or brought with them a few questions from each topic they particularly struggle understanding.
This is not required, but it will give me a better idea of the student's capabilities and weaknesses before we sit down.
Then, we will go through a couple questions together, and once I feel they understand well enough I will ask them to complete a similar question unguided, then mark and constructively correct their error(s).
Throughout, I will be able to explain to the student key concepts they may be misunderstanding in order to ensure their continued success in Maths.
