Luca Barber

I am currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Southampton, which has provided me with valuable communication skills which I believe are important for tutoring. I will aim to make my lessons engaging and tailored to every student’s specific individual needs. During this, I will encourage students to ask questions and identify any areas they feel less comfortable with, allowing me to take them through and break down concepts so that they fully understand. In my time King Edward VI Grammar School, I undertook a series of tutoring peers, which gave me valuable experience which would benefit me in this profession.
