With an Holistic approach and person centred structure, each session is designed to meet the needs of the individual student.
Using the students interests and abilities to design a learning programme to help them in their studies.
With over 10 years of teaching experience in Art, English and Functional skills in schools, colleges and 121, my experience also includes working with SEN, Neurodivergent and students who may have a physical or mental disability.
Being Neurodivergent myself means I can empathise with students and the students are made to feel at ease in their learning.
Lessons vary according to the needs of the student. These could be face to face, online or even out on location. I'm adaptable to suit your needs. I also have a therapy dog who often comes with me to some of my classes. His name is Hugo.
Traditional teaching and learning is my preferred approach where learning is more hands on, however theory and the incorporation of technology is used as and when needed, required or preferred.
Each student has a progress log and reflection log. This is available for caregivers to look at, at any given time.
Safeguarding and professionalism is always at the forefront of my mind and by working together we can meet the goals of all involved in every students educational journey.
My areas cover County Durham and North Yorkshire however other areas maybe available upon discussion. I have both public liability insurance and business vehicle insurance. A fully enhanced DBS and clean license.
