Hello!!! Greetings from Brazil!

I am Lorena. After more than 15 years of teaching, one of my favourite moments is still hearing a student say, “Oh, now I get it!” I love finding the explanation, example or activity that makes something click - and seeing that understanding turn into confidence.

I teach Portuguese, English, Spanish and Geography. My experience has taught me to listen closely: sometimes a hesitant answer needs encouragement, sometimes a recurring mistake needs a fresh explanation, and sometimes the best learning happens when we follow an unexpected question.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you need. We’ll work that out together. I’ll get to know your interests, your goals and how you learn best, then plan lessons that give you both support and a little room to stretch.

We might share stories, explore a song, discuss something you care about or practise a conversation you’ve been wanting to have. Along the way, we’ll work on vocabulary, pronunciation, listening and grammar, with clear explanations and plenty of practice.

Each lesson begins with a conversation and a short review, then moves into focused activities. We finish by looking at what you’ve learned and what we’ll build on next.

I bring years of teaching experience, patience and curiosity to every lesson. You bring yourself - even on the days when the words won’t come easily. We’ll start there.
