After graduating from one of China’s top 7 universities with Hons, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. During my studies, I excelled in courses such as Chinese Linguistics, Education, and Teaching Methodology, achieving scores above 90 in these areas. This solid academic foundation has equipped me with a deep understanding of language acquisition and effective teaching strategies.
In addition to my academic achievements, I bring practical teaching experience. I have taught more than 20 students from different countries with non-native Chinese speakers. I have rich experience in tailoring lesson plans and delivering engaging, interactive sessions that cater to individual learning needs. Furthermore, I have experience teaching larger groups, having led seminars on various modules at British universities, with over 200 registered students. These experiences have honed my ability to adapt to different teaching environments, whether in one-on-one sessions or larger classrooms.
My passion for education extends beyond language teaching. In 2019, I pursued further studies in Education at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, where I also participated in public events organised by the local Confucius Institute. These experiences deepened my understanding of cross-cultural communication and enriched my ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Philosophy, which not only reflects my strong learning and analytical skills but also allows me the flexibility to take on part-time teaching opportunities. As a native Mandarin speaker with full proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, I am well-equipped to help students achieve their language learning goals.
