I hope to bring energy to these lessons where children are immersed into my style of teaching. I have never taught before but I am willing to learn as I love kids! I have managed a team in my previous job at Wagamama and have helped trained new starters. This job role has enabled me to be patient and understanding which are skills I believe are crucial when it comes to teaching children. You have to be patient in order to build better relationships so kids can make that progressive step towards their success. I find it rewarding seeing people achieve and more rewarding seeing children achieve as they are our future. It would be incredible to witness a child’s success due to my teaching as this would be very rewarding for me as I feel that every child deserves to have an education. This is of importance to me! I have a masters in African studies and intensive Swahili. I have recently returned from Zanzibar where I studied intensive Swahili for six weeks. Being pushed out of my comfort zone where I had to speak Swahili to natives daily, has enabled me to interact with others and immerse myself into a new culture. Despite not having any experience in the educational field, I hold a bachelors degree in English and drama and would like to utilise my degree and showcase my strong communication skills which is a transferable skill I believe is critical for my future career success.
