Hi there! My name is Lisa, I’m 20 years old, and I speak both French and English fluently—so I can offer tutoring sessions in either language.
I'm currently a university student at Durham and have previous experience helping other students through tutoring, which I’ve really enjoyed and would love to continue doing.
Before each session, I ask students to send me a short message with either the content of their homework or, if there’s no specific task, their goals for the session. This allows me to prepare in advance so we can make the most of our time together.
I usually use Google Meet or Zoom (whichever works best for you), and I like to begin each session with a quick overview of what we’ll cover. I take a hands-on approach and believe that interactivity is key to effective learning, which is why I often use pen and paper to explain concepts clearly.
I also believe that learning is all about asking questions, so I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable doing just that. As I’ve been told before, it’s always better to ask than to stay confused—curiosity is never silly, but avoiding questions can be.
With my previous experience running a tutoring business and my current qualifications, I’ve set my rate at £25/hour.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me, I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. I’m excited to help you reach your goals and build confidence in your learning.
