I believe in letting you guide the lessons, I would start with asking if there’s any areas or concepts you’d like to explore or understand better, and if there is any foundational knowledge required we’ll start from there! I can provide abstract examples for certain concepts, to allow our human minds to comprehend it better, and after talking about theory I will provide tasks that you can try to program in yourself! If any of your work ties into Computer Science as a subject for either GCSE or A -Level, I’d be happy to help explain the syllabus too.

I’m a very patient teacher, tutoring my 11 year old sister in python before she even started it in school. I understand that coding can be frustrating, it’s not always fun but it’s satisfying when you understand. Once you have the programming fundamentals, you can often transfer similar structures to other languages.

I will be conducting online lessons via zoom, and will be making use of screen sharing to show some examples, exercises, and abstractions, and ideally I’ll be able to see your code too, as it’ll help me guide you if I notice any errors. If there’s any code from other projects you’d like me to look over, I’m more than happy to help there too! Sometimes it helps to have an extra set of eyes, especially if you’ve been looking at the same code for awhile.
