Lilly Mills

Experienced in High school english language and literature up to A-level and Health and social care at A-level only. I am interested in teaching and tutoring and have a genuine passion surrounding my subjects and seeing others develop understandings and succeeding in their goals.

I have an adaptive tutoring style to suit each student in a positively productive way. I will teach the concept and make use of things like the feynman technique to ensure the best understanding possible for my students. I find this helps with memory retention and general understanding of the material.

My lessons will be relaxed and comfortable but strictly adhere to the subject matter. At the end of every sessions I will assign my students to have answered a certain amount of questions or something similar. I will also have the student write me a list of particular areas in which they are struggling so giving me a way to plan my next lesson accordingly to ensure I aid my students in hitting their educational goals.

My further life goals include teaching professionally. This is a great way for me to gain confidence and experience in this position and have 1st hand knowledge on how I can personally apply myself to a classroom.

I have experience as a classroom assistant and a sport coach for children ages 4-10. This helps me with building my ability to create a productive environment for children and finding out what works for them in terms of learning, especially on a broader scale.
