Hi there!
My lessons are usually staggered: I like to begin with active recall eg. Finishing the blanks of Macbeth quotes. Then helping a student dissect and understand an extract question from Macbeth then helping with a practice question.
I am keen to cater sessions to every student: each student learns differently!
I aim to break the session up eg. 10 minutes independent writing then 5 minutes reviewing and providing feedback of a paragraph.
I also encourage and intend to help students with revision strategies, creating revision resources that will aid them in the tuition sessions and their spare time.
I previously worked for M2G Tutoring, a small tuition company in my local area for two years. I helped many students of different abilities excel and reach their potential- from students struggling with English GCSE resists to those wanting to enhance their passion for English with tuition.
I am currently completing a Law degree (in my first year at Reading University), which is very heavy on reading and reasoning arguments, so I will be able to transfer these skills along with my previous experience to aid students.
I completed A-Levels of Sociology, History and English Literature and achieved A*BB. At GCSE, I achieved A*-B, the A* being in English Literature and Language.
