Hello! I am a Brazilian undergraduate student who had the opportunity of studying English since I was I child, as I was raised at Florida, USA. This allowed me to achieve a native level of the language nowadays, which I use on a day-to-day basis. I currently work as a self-employed translator and proofreader, but I've also worked as an English teacher for almost a year before the pandemic and I would like to continue in this career now that I am finishing my undergraduate studies. During classes, I used to create activities to engage students with the cultural diversity that exists among many English-speaking countries. Knowing the structure of the language is also important, that is why grammar activities applied to creative lessons are essential. I am a native Portuguese speaker, but I also have a C1 level in French and B2 in Spanish, what allows my to navigate between languages and to prepare the best method according to each student and their native language. I am enthusiastic about contemporary literature and music, so I always try to bring new references to classes and help students find interesting things on their own. My English classes used to be fo small groups of teenagers at basic and intermediate levels, but I would love to word with adults as well. I see myself as a positive person and I always try to face difficulties this way. Learning another language is not always easy, but I think it does not have to be so stressful!
