What My Lessons Are Like

As a multilingual tutor fluent in Korean, English, and Chinese, I offer language lessons that are dynamic, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs and goals.

Lesson Format & Style
My lessons are typically structured in three parts:

Warm-up & Review – We start with a brief conversation or review of previous material to reinforce learning.

Core Learning – This section focuses on grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, or writing, depending on your goals. I utilise multimedia tools, such as Chinese dramas/K-dramas, dialogues, and news articles, to make learning enjoyable and relevant.

Practice & Feedback – We conclude with guided practice, role-plays, or Q&A sessions to build confidence and fluency, with constructive feedback provided throughout.

What Makes My Lessons Unique

I bring over eight years of experience living and studying in China, as well as over six years of international education in English-speaking environments.

I’ve worked as a translator and interpreter in professional settings, which helps me teach with accuracy and cultural nuance.

Whether you're a beginner or advanced learner, I adjust my pace and materials based on your learning style and interests (e.g. daily conversation, academic Chinese, business Korean, etc.).

My Teaching Philosophy
Language is more than memorising vocabulary—it’s about understanding culture and communicating with confidence. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and a learning space where students feel supported.
