I have experience in tutoring primary school students and assisting them in homework completion. I enjoy breaking problems down into manageable steps and helping them work through them so they are prepared to answer exam questions on their own with confidence. This method mostly is applicable for maths, but works well for learning to write as well. I can teach essay writing by showing examples of outlines and showing how to create a skeleton before writing so that the structure is apparent throughout the essay. My strengths in school were in English, Maths and Sciences, and I have gone on to get first class marks on some of the essays I have written in university. I have years of experience of working with children of various ages in both education and caring roles. I am eager to help students reach their full potential and become confident in their learning abilities. I know that school can be a struggle for many, and hope that I can ease some of the mental stress of school through one-on-one sessions that help develop confidence and strength in not only the curriculum but also in the student's other capabilities.
