I have also taken other courses and training workshops that has shaped my teaching method.

I have taught English as a second language to kids, teenagers and adults for more than 5 years, in person setting as well as online.

I learned English as a second language when I was a teenager and at the beginning it was difficult, therefore I understand the challenges to learn a language, I relate to my students on the journey of learning a new language, and my goal is to help them learn, my role is more of a facilitator rather than a teacher, I always try to have a student-centered and learning-centered approach where the student is the main character of each lesson.

I use different frameworks depending on the skill you want to improve (speaking, listening, reading or writing). When it comes to speaking I emphasize pronunciation and fluency by creating realistic scenarios where students can practice and feel confortable. I always make sure that the SST (student seaking time) is about 60-70% during lessons.
I use homework as a way of encouraging further study but not as a measure of how well a student has learned.
