Leon Felgate

I am an experienced secondary Drama teacher with over twenty years of teaching across a wide range of schools. I have in-depth knowledge of all major GCSE and A Level exam boards, with particular expertise in AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge, and a proven track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.

I bring a strong understanding of exam requirements, assessment criteria, and marking frameworks, enabling me to guide students effectively towards higher grades. I have specialist knowledge of key set texts, including Blood Brothers, DNA, and An Inspector Calls at GCSE, as well as Equus and Woyzeck at A Level.

My teaching is highly personalised: I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student, whether that involves developing written responses, refining analytical skills, or building confidence in performance and interpretation. I am particularly skilled at identifying areas for improvement and providing clear, practical strategies to help students progress.

I also have considerable experience with practical work, particularly monologues and duologues, and have considerable knowledge of how to achieve a top grade for performance.
