In lessons, I hope to have a relaxed environment where the student and I can bond over conversations and I hope to be there for a student that is feeling stressed and is struggling. I want to make studying English fun for the student, so lessons will be quite casual and slow-paced, unless specified.
As I have previously been an EFL student who struggled with the stress of moving to an English-speaking school, I understand the struggle of having a language barrier and the frustration of learning a new language. I am creative and open-minded, so I can help students understand with metaphors, drawings, or even activities. I also have very strong interpersonal skills, so I hope to build a strong connection with my students and try to help them gain confidence in their skills.
I can teach almost any age group except for A-level students, as I have not studied for A-levels and studied the American AP system instead. However, if students need help with any essay-writing for their Secondary School, I am more than happy to help write and revise.
(For reference, I took AP English Language and Composition, AP Biology, AP Statistics, and AP Japanese.)
Every student deserves love and someone who makes them feel confident in their capabilities, and I want to be there for them!
