GCSE, A Level Pure and Mechanics in Manchester. FS too ??

With more than 30 years’ classroom experience, including seven years as a head of department, I now tutor mathematics alongside my work as a senior examiner.

I teach KS3 mathematics, GCSE Mathematics and A-level Pure Mathematics and Mechanics. At GCSE, I have taught all exam boards, with particular experience of Edexcel (Pearson), and I have taught the AQA A-level specification for more than 25 years, including the former modular papers and current specifications 7356 and 7357. I can also support Functional Skills Mathematics at Levels 1 and 2, as well as GCSE resits taken in November.

My sessions begin with a diagnostic conversation to identify exactly what you need to work on. We then focus on the methods that will help you make progress, whether that means getting up to speed at KS3, strengthening core GCSE skills, or preparing for A-level Pure and Mechanics. Through my teaching, head of department role and examining work, I can explain how GCSE marks are awarded, help you interpret questions and develop confidence in the examination.

I am a senior examiner for one of the main examination boards and have extensive experience marking GCSE papers. I can support students aiming to move from a grade 3 to a grade 4 or 5 in a resit, as well as those working towards higher grades. Your first meeting is offered at one-third off the usual price, allowing us to diagnose your needs and agree how to work together.
