I have over 10 years of experience working in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) schools, supporting children across both primary and secondary settings. I am currently Head of English for the primary department, where I lead on curriculum development, teaching, and targeted intervention.
I specialise in English, Maths, and Reading, with a particular passion for helping children build confidence and achieve success in their learning—especially those who may find traditional approaches challenging. My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and fully tailored to each learner’s individual needs.
I have been teaching for nearly ten years in a variety of educational settings, working with children from EYFS right through to GCSE level. Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of subjects and age groups, giving me a strong understanding of how to adapt teaching approaches to suit each learner’s stage of development and individual needs.
With a strong background in supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties, I’m skilled in adapting lessons to ensure every child can thrive and make progress at their own pace.
I believe every learner deserves to feel capable, valued, and motivated—and I take great pride in helping my students discover their strengths and reach their full potential.
