Firstly, I plan to have a conversation with the student (or parent for any younger students) where I will discuss their key struggles including which topics they struggle the most with, their level of education and their availability as well as any exam and assessment dates the student may have. A typical lesson will consist of me teaching the content including any key methods and equations through a whiteboard style lesson. Once we have discussed the content I will go through some worked examples with the student and then allow them to work through some questions by themselves (and with my help if needed!). At the end of each session we will do a recap of what your child has learnt and we will come up with a plan with some aims for next time. After each session I will keep track of the students progress making sure to help them work on any key problems throughout their future lessons.
