I first started teaching English as a foreign language this past year. I didn’t know what to expect, but discovered that I loved it. It’s so exciting getting to know people from all around the world and help them to develop their own relationship with English. I deliver 1 hour classes which focus on the student’s personal learning goals. A big part of my methodology is to use examples from culture or the arts to teach grammatical concepts or vocabulary. I have also recently started teaching Philosophy, Theology and RS. I received a First when I studied Philosophy at UCL for my BA, and have an MLitt (University of St Andrews) and MPhil (University of Cambridge) in Theology, both of which were awarded with a Distinction. I think religions allow us to explore some of the most interesting questions we can ask. Religious thought to me is beautiful, mysterious, imaginative and so exciting. I really believe that the more deeply we engage with them, the richer our lives can feel. I am a very friendly teacher; I believe learning works at its best if the student feels confident and supported. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. I’m looking forward to hearing from you :)
