Laurie Coleman

I have a Bachelors degree in Politics from the University of Nottingham and can teach English to all ages, including GCSE and A-Level students. I like to create achievable, short-term goals in order to find success in longer-term objectives such as a GCSE or A-Level exam. By creating a safe and welcoming class environment I like to encourage students to feel comfortable and work well. Most of my tutoring experience has been to GCSE students, so working through the curriculum using lots of reading and writing exercises and past papers can form the bulk of my classes. I also love to give personalised and rapid feedback to students, talking them through their answers and work. The ultimate goal of my classes is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to tackle any exam question or real-life English speaking scenario.
