Hi there,

My names Lauren and I am a passionate and experienced science tutor with a strong background in Biomedical Science and current experience as a Healthcare Science Lecturer. With over five years of hands-on laboratory experience in the NHS, specialising in haematology and blood transfusion, I bring real-life scientific understanding into my teaching.

I specialise in supporting students in biology and general science, helping them to build confidence and develop a clear understanding of complex topics. My teaching focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations, linking theory to real-world applications to make learning more engaging and memorable.

Alongside my teaching role, I design and deliver structured lessons, assess student progress and provide personalised support tailored to individual learning styles and goals. Whether students are preparing for exams, catching up on challenging topics, or aiming for top grades, I adapt my approach to suit their needs.

I pride myself on creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills. My aim is not only to help students succeed academically but also to build their confidence and interest in science.
