I believe learning should be enjoyable, as such I endeavour to create a relaxed and comfortable classroom atmosphere to encourage my students to engage with the language. Conversation practice is key, so I like to maximise student participation during class time as much as possible. I aim to use real-world materials and examples so that there is a practical application to my lessons.
I have found through my work as a tour guide that people are most engaged when they feel as if we are having a conversation, rather than a teacher figure talking down to them. Therefore, I try as much as possible to take on board any feed back or constructive criticism my students may have so that we can work together to create as productive a learning environment as possible.
My lessons revolve around the student, and I will try my best to facilitate the lesson tailored to the students specific needs and learning goals.
Most importantly, I want my classes to be a positive and fun space where students feel comfortable to explore and grow through their English language journey.
