All of my lessons will be tailored to exam specifications, with special attention to areas of improvement and tricky grammar points. With a friendly environment, we will practice a variety of exam skills to improve German competence and practice key skills like speaking and writing. Using exam tactics and tricks, we can navigate the most difficult content and work towards a higher level of German competence to help students achieve their best in GCSE and A-Level exams.
I work to encourage a friendly atmosphere in my lessons and encourage students to bring forward their questions in the session so we can best remedy any weak areas. Using my own bank of learning materials, I will use my experience as a Goethe Young Ambassador to deliver structured sessions according to curriculum topics and encourage engagement with native materials (idioms and cultural materials) to best encourage the journey to fluency.
In an initial session, we would complete a consultation on your weaker areas and topics in order to best tailor tutoring to your needs, as well as some initial assessment of a student’s competency. In this way, we can track progress during our lessons and set concrete goals to track over our time together. Having experienced the exams myself, I encourage an open environment in lessons and can introduce helpful pneumonics and strategies that I have used to achieve success in my own GCSEs and A-Levels.
