Although I have little experience with professional tutoring, I was involved in a scheme during 6th Form which allowed me to use my education to help support English students in the lower years. This allowed me to work through their syllabus with them hence giving me some training in how to support students specifically facing exams and tests. Despite this, I work on a holistic level meaning that I want every session that I have with a pupil to be totally led by them whether their needs be exam driven or they merely want to improve their knowledge and confidence in a specific area. Having just completed my degree in English Literature I am able to support essay writing skills and analytical skills should that be an area that the pupil would like to work on. My main aim is to make learning as fun as possible by getting to know my pupils and how they work best as well as where their interest lie so that we can try and integrate that into the process. I am a bubbly and approachable person who is very adaptable to the needs of others. In addition to this, I am extremely passionate about my subject, something that I have always found aids the interest of others (lets be honest, Shakespeare will always be boring if the person teaching it finds it boring). I am a caring individual who is genuinely invested in the wellbeing and development of those around me. I am very organised planner with an albeit strange love of making revision and study materials.
Cant wait to get you and get you loving (or at the very least not hating) English! :)
