With a background in psychology and extensive experience supporting individuals in both educational and employment settings, I bring a unique, holistic approach to academic coaching. My work as an Employment Service Manager and former Learning Support Assistant has equipped me with the tools to engage, motivate, and empower learners at different stages of their development.

I specialise in helping students overcome barriers—whether it’s low confidence, lack of organisation, or difficulty staying focused. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when given the right support and encouragement. That’s why my sessions are carefully tailored to each learner’s goals, pace, and preferred learning style.

In practice, I combine structure with flexibility. I use clear, step-by-step guidance, along with active listening and positive reinforcement, to help students stay engaged and feel supported. My coaching often includes helping students build effective study routines, manage their time, and access useful resources—skills that are not only essential for academic progress but also for long-term independence and success.

My psychology background allows me to be especially mindful of students’ emotional wellbeing, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgemental space where they can ask questions and feel heard.

Whether a student needs support catching up with schoolwork, preparing for exams, or simply building better study habits, I aim to be a consistent and reliable source of motivation, guidance, and encouragement. Helping students grow in confidence and take ownership of their learning is at the heart of everything I do.
