My online mathematics lessons are structured, engaging, and carefully tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed in mathematics when provided with clear guidance, patience, and a supportive learning environment. At the start of our work together, I assess each student’s current level of understanding and establish personalised learning goals that align with their ability, confidence, and academic objectives.

All lessons are delivered online, using interactive tools, visual materials, and clear explanations to make mathematical concepts both accessible and enjoyable. I am happy to align lessons with a student’s school curriculum if this is provided, ensuring that the content complements their classroom learning. Students are also encouraged to have their own textbooks, worksheets, or school assignments, which we can utilise together to strengthen understanding and reinforce key topics.

Each session typically includes a short warm-up activity, including work from previous weeks to refresh their memory, a focused teaching segment of the current topic they are learning within school, guided and independent practice to consolidate their learning. When appropriate, I will provide additional homework or practice exercises to support continued progress between lessons. My flexible scheduling allows families to choose lesson times that best suit their routines and commitments.

As someone who has previously completed a work experience placement in primary school (year 5 and 6), I pride myself on being patient, supportive, and encouraging, creating a positive online atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their mathematical abilities. My goal is to help every learner build a strong foundation and a lasting enjoyment of mathematics.
